Silva urges Melo to join Arsenal

Felipe Melo was seemed to have been urged by former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva to join the Gunners this summer. It is known that Gilberto and Felipe are Brazil team-mates. According to the reports it is seen that the Gunners have a substantial offer for Fiorentina's 25-year-old holding midfielder. Silva when asked about this said that they heard rumors and when Felipe had asked him, he said that it was a fantastic club and that if he was really interested he should go on with it without thinking. He also added that he is what the Gunners exactly need; a powerful player like him is all that they are looking for. Last summer Gilberto made news leaving the Gunners for Panathinaikos in Greece. He also commented that if the Gunners could get hold of Felipe it would be really great because he is a player they need at the moment. He said that he has assured Felipe that Arsenal was a very good club and that if he signs in then it would really be a good signing. He also stated that the Arsenal club will prove their position sure in the next season.
